How Do You Know If You Have Anxiety?

It is absolutely normal for people to feel worry or fear, when you are about to face a challenging situation such as an examination, job interview, public speaking engagement or a recital. However, anxiety occurs when a reaction is blown right out of proportion with what might be a normally expected situation. An example of an inappropriate reaction would be, when heading out to the grocery store you begin to dread the crowds, you heart is racing a mile a minute and you feel as though the world is closing in around you.
Anxiety is responsible for how we feel and how we react. It may cause apprehension, fear, nervousness and worry. Anxiety has the ability to present itself with just an unsettling feeling, or it can be extremely debilitating and have an impact on your daily life.
More often than not, when individuals have unexplainable symptoms, they are experiencing some form of anxiety. There is this misconception around anxiety and what it should look like, and who experiences anxiety. Studies do show that anxiety and depression are linked, and when left untreated they do eventually start to jumble to together.
