Since 2013, our annual Awards programming has recognized over 3,000 women and youth, and granted over $200,000 in combined bursaries, mentorship, services, and promotion to our winners. Last year alone, we proudly recognized 24 women and youth who had combined annual gross revenues over $79million, and contributed more than $645,000 back through community giving.

With an impressive Alumni Roster and continued support from world-renowned companies who are equally dedicated to the advancement of women and girls across the globe, we can't wait to shine a light on even more women, women entrepreneurs, youth and gender diverse individuals through this year's awards programming!

The 2022 RevolutionHer™ Awards recognizes, celebrates and acknowledges successful women, youth and gender diverse people from across Canada and The USA for their hard work, dedication, perseverance, innovation and commitment to community.

RevolutionHer Awards for women and women entrepreneurs

REVOLUTIONHER™ TRAILBLAZER AWARD

Recognizing individuals who show dedication and commitment to community, and the overall betterment of people and/or planet locally or globally. 

Ideal candidates are self-employed, with a majority stake in a privately owned corporation or non-profit, or equal stake within a partnership. Candidate’s company must be in operation for a minimum of 5 years, with minimum $1M gross annual revenue. Candidates in this role can be entrepreneurs, authors, influencers, franchisors, and/or artists.

Prizing of cash & services with combined value of $10,000

RevolutionHer Awards for women and women entrepreneurs

REVOLUTIONHER™ IMPACT AWARD IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Recognizing entrepreneurs who exemplify determination and innovation, and who have made an impact by leading and/or inspiring others locally or globally. 

Candidates are an established or emerging leader, and demonstrate a passion for supporting the greater community. Ideal candidates are self-employed, with a majority stake in a privately owned corporation or non-profit, or equal stake within a partnership. Candidate’s company must be in operation for a minimum of 2 years.

Prizing of cash & services with combined value of $10,000

RevolutionHer Awards for women and women entrepreneurs

REVOLUTIONHER™ IMPACT AWARD IN LEADERSHIP

Recognizing leaders who exemplify have made an impact by leading a community and inspiring others towards action and success, locally or globally. 

Candidates are community-driven leaders who have made an impact by advocating for and educating, leading, and inspiring a collective of others locally or globally, and have nurtured and encouraged others' empowerment and success. Candidates in this role can be executives, employees, volunteers, entrepreneurs, authors, influencers, and/or artists.

RevolutionHer Awards for women and women entrepreneurs

REVOLUTIONHER™ MOMENTUM AWARD FOR SMALL BUSINESS

Recognizing entrepreneurs who show determination, with a focus on innovation and leadership in a product or service based business​. Candidates may be an entrepreneur, solopreneur, partnership, franchisor, franchisee, consultant, broker, blogger, author, artist, or influencer in operation for a minimum of 6 months, showing potential for growth and scale. Prizing of cash & services with combined value of $10,000

REVOLUTIONHER™ COMMUNITY VISION AWARD FOR YOUTH

Recognizing youth between the ages of 12 – 20 years old, operating as a volunteer, philanthropist, or entrepreneur​. Ideal candidates are active in their community, and are passionate about spearheading initiatives to create a better future for the next generation. Prizing of cash & services with combined value of $5,000

AWARD DETAILS

It’s important that you read the FULL CONTEST RULES & REGULATIONS, but for a condensed understanding of how our RevolutionHer™ Award winners are determined, this should help.

The RevolutionHer™ Awards consist of 3 Stages before winners are determined:

STAGE 1 – Entry, Nominations & Voting  —  (March 8  –  May 29, 2022)

ENTRY:
Eligible women, women entrepreneurs, female youth and gender diverse people can either enter into the RevolutionHer™ Awards themselves, or they may be nominated by someone else.

NOMINATIONS:
If someone is nominated for a RevolutionHer™ Award, the nominee will be notified, and is required to complete an online entry application in order to officially enter the contest.

VOTING:
Online public voting is made available from May 30 – June 5, 2022. Voters will be able to cast votes for multiple entrants, at a maximum of one vote per entrant, daily.

STAGE 2 – Determining Finalists  —  (June 6  –  June 16, 2022)

All entrants will be given a weighted score of points, in order to advance to the ‘Finalist’ stage of the Awards. The 25 entrants (5 per Award Category) with the most number of accumulated weighted points will be named to the “Finalists” list, based on the following criteria:

  • Weighted number of public votes (x 1 pt for every 10 votes, max. 500 pts/entrant)
  • Impression Rating from Judges based on entry information (max. 2,000 pts/entrant)

STAGE 3 – Announcing Finalists, Media & Judges Review  —  (June 16  –  August 31, 2022)

Once all Finalists are announced publicly on Thursday, June 16, 2022, they each will have 4 weeks to craft and then submit a “Finalist EssayOR a "Finalist Video". These are then submitted to our Judges Panel, where they will be carefully reviewed. All finalists will be scored according to a weighted list of criteria, including (where applicable per category):

Innovation:
Does the finalist represent a product or service, or an initiative, that is innovative and/or helpful to address the needs of the greater community? Are there key differentiators for the finalist which have attributed to her success?

Growth Potential & Scalability:
Does the finalist and/or the finalist’s business show potential for growth and scale, whether through geographic or market expansion, market/audience reach, product line extension, franchising, etc?

Revenue:
Does the finalist’s business possess a healthy revenue stream, demonstrating that the business has moved beyond the idea stage to one able to derive revenue?

Community Impact:
Has the finalist made a meaningful and positive impact on the community through donations, leadership roles, community involvement, etc?

Inspiration to Others:
Does the finalist have an inspirational story that will inspire others? Does she represent herself as a positive role model for others, including her family and peers? Does the finalist’s actions serve the greater good, helping humanity on a local or global level?

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR STAGE 3:

  • Finalists must be available to attend The 2022 Annual RevolutionHer Summit (held from September 23 – 24, 2022 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada – further details TBA).
  • Finalists and prospective winners must also be available for possible media segments (radio, television, print, photography) leading up to and including The 2022 Annual RevolutionHer Summit, and following winners announcement, from June 16 to October 31, 2022.
  • All finalists will be promoted via press releases to media, including print, radio, and television – though coverage cannot be guaranteed, the team behind The RevolutionHer™ Awards works diligently to ensure that each finalist receives recognition for their achievements.
