Maria is an advocate and champion for the advancement of women and female entrepreneurs across North America. As Founder & CEO of RevolutionHER, Maria brings women and girls together globally for education, support, inspiration and empowerment, dedicating herself to her company's directive,“Together We Rise”. Creating a strong voice for females through an inclusive lens that focuses on equity and diversity, Maria hopes to create systemic long-term change, and provide support and inspiration to help women and girls unleash their potential and live their lives to the fullest.

Through RevolutionHER, Maria has had the honour of interviewing and collaborating with celebrated female thought-leaders to inspire others, including: Dolly Parton, Meena Harris, Jen Sincero, Dr. Shefali, Sarah Nicole Landry, Sharon Chuter, Debbie Travis, Manjit Minhas, Tembi Locke, Sonia Jhas, Arlene Dickinson and Amber Mac, to name a few. Maria was recently named to SUCCESS Magazine's "Success 125" list, recognizing top leaders from around the world who are committed to authenticity, continued education, and boundless determination to make a difference in the world around them.

RevolutionHER™ provides support through different facets, including: a community for members to connect with other like-minded women from all walks of life; an online and bricks and mortar retail store featuring unique products from 100 diverse women-led brands from across North America; a book club with author events; an Educational Learning Portal containing an extensive collection of video modules, workbooks and resources; an Online Resource Centre that is free and accessible to all women; exclusive events, both in-person and online, featuring impactful female leaders from around the globe; and the annual RevolutionHER™ Awards that, since 2013, have given back over $200,000 in bursaries, services, mentorship and promotion to successful women, women entrepreneurs and youth across North America. 

Maria is also Publisher and Editor of RevolutionHER™ Magazine, helping to further amplify women’s voices. The print and digital publication is distributed across North America, and reflects the RevolutionHER™ community by showcasing women of all sizes, abilities and ethnicities, while telling their stories of both triumph and challenge. The publication is available at 118 Indigo, Chapters and independent book stores across Canada.

Working with well-known brands, organizations, speakers and educators, RevolutionHER™ advocates on behalf of global issues facing females, and offers support, funding and resources needed to implement programs. In 2015, Maria created Momentum: a non-profit organization that provides women and girls worldwide with barrier-free access to educational resources, mentorship and financial support. Momentum was the first Canadian organization to take part in the Coca-Cola 5 by 20 program, a worldwide initiative dedicated to supporting the economic empowerment of 5 million women entrepreneurs across the globe by 2020. Momentum helped provide educational support to 20,000 Canadian women entrepreneurs.

Maria’s expertise has been featured in SUCCESS Magazine, Wellness & Wisdom Magazine, Maclean’s, Canadian SME Magazine, The Huffington Post, ParentsCanada Magazine, and Canadian Business, and she has appeared in a variety of national television and radio programs to offer insights and expertise, including The Marilyn Denis Show, Canada AM, CBC, Breakfast Television, Global News, CHCH Morning Live, Sirius XM Radio, iHeart Radio and NewsTalk 1010.

Maria is a wife and mom of two teenagers, and has battled both Hodgkin's Lymphoma and Thyroid Cancer. She lives in her hometown of Milton, Ontario, Canada.

Ale brings 20 years of administrative experience and is happy to provide office and project leadership services for small businesses, entrepreneurs and executives. With further training in print and digital graphic design, her in-demand services also include desktop publishing and graphic design. She also provides project management and system and procedural implementation support.

Being an entrepreneur herself, Ale is passionate about helping and supporting her clients be successful. Laura and Josie Cannone are actual sisters who became known as The GG Sisters after they co-founded The Glama Gal Kids Spa in 2006. They started their entrepreneurial journey out of their parent’s basement, with an $80 investment in some children’s bathrobes, nail polish, and bath bombs. Today Glama Gal Kids Spa is a well-known brand, with multiple franchised and virtual locations across Ontario.
